In real estate you will need to take several tests and fulfil many licensing requirements. Depending on which state you are in and what type of license you are trying to achieve, you will have different requirements. To begin with, you will need to pass the cam test in Nevada before you can get your Nevada license.
How to pass the CAM test?
The CAM test is administered by Pearson VUE and you will have to register with them in order to take the exam. There are two ways of taking it; you can either do it through a computer or you can go into a testing center and do it on an actual computer terminal. If you choose to do it at home, all they will require from you is your name, address and the last four digits of your social security number.
If you take it at a testing center be sure to arrive early! These tests are very popular amongst agents, so make sure you time yourself well and don’t get stuck in traffic on the way. Take good notes with you; this will help to keep you focused and on track.
When you get there, sign in with the receptionist; they will ask for your driver’s license and a form of ID. If you’ve already paid, then they will issue you a wristband that serves as your proof of payment. The testing center is strict about this process; if you don’t have your wristband on sorry, no testing.
If you are taking the computer version of the test; then there will be a monitor and keyboard attached to the terminal. If it’s the other way around, there is a keyboard attached to the terminal and a screen sitting beside it. Either way works.
Make sure that you study hard and take your time. You don’t want to have to pay and try again.
